In the eerie tale of Stitches (2012), the audience is introduced to Richard 'Stitches' Grindle, a calamitous and humorless clown who meets a tragic end at the birthday party of a young boy named Tom. After the children's seemingly innocent prank of tying his shoelaces goes awry, Stitches suffers a fatal fall onto a vertically poised knife, dying before the horrified party-goers. Six years later, the ghost of the past refuses to rest. Fuelled by a mysterious clown ritual, the spirit of the disgruntled Stitches is resurrected, vengefully returning to the land of the living. His mission is clear: seek out Tom, the boy whose birthday will forever be marred by the clown's untimely demise, and exact his revenge. As Tom throws a birthday party once more, Stitches is hot on his trail, hell-bent on not only killing Tom but also targeting the attendees of that fateful party from six years ago. The once cheerful celebration morphs into a deadly game of survival as the resurrected clown embarks on an ominous killing spree. The teens must face their deepest fears and confront the specter of their past, as the ghostly Stitches haunts their present in this chilling tale of revenge from beyond the grave.
