Triloquist (2008)

In the seamy underbelly of 1993 Hollywood, California, a heroin-addicted ventriloquist, fallen from grace, leaves her two children, Norbert and Angelina, in the wake of her untimely overdose death. The siblings, accompanied by their mother's eerie dummy, are thrust into the harsh reality of the foster system. Their world swiftly descends from bleak to nightmarish when they are sent to live with their predatory uncle, whose malevolent activities awaken a deadly force within their dummy. Years later, the mute Norbert and Angelina, now a seventeen-year-old alcoholic, eke out a tragic existence on the fringes of society. When a gruesome murder implicates their sinister dummy, Norbert is wrongfully accused, arrested, and committed to an asylum, his wooden companion in tow. Haunted by their tormented past and desperate to ensure their bloodline doesn't end with them, Angelina hatches a daring plan. Defying the shadows of her past, she breaks into the asylum, wreaking havoc and freeing Norbert. Their path soon crosses with Robin, a young girl who unwittingly becomes embroiled in their dark family saga. Angelina, driven by a disturbing desire to continue their lineage, decides that Robin will bear their family's next generation, spiraling them deeper into a chilling abyss of horror and revenge, all manipulated by the wrathful dummy.
