Set amidst the turmoil of the Great War, the story unfolds around Flora Bertuccioli, an aging diva from the café-chantant on the avenue of sunset. Teetering on the brink of eviction from her home in Turin, Flora's life takes an unexpected turn when she is offered the opportunity to sing for the soldiers on the front line. Upon arrival, she meets Tonino, a young soldier and part of a ragtag orchestra, tasked with complementing her stirring performances.
