Plot

Basking in the bright lights of Mumbai is Mina, a successful Indian actress who, despite her towering fame and fortune, is haunted by the memory of her beloved younger sister, Sita. Their bond, severed by the cruel hands of fate following their mother's death, has left an indelible scar on Mina's heart. Three decades later, destiny unveils a startling revelation - Sita is alive, thriving under the sun-kissed skies of Barcelona. However, Sita's life is now unrecognizable from the one she left behind. Renamed Paula by her adoptive parents, she is a committed biology researcher, her Indian roots buried deep beneath layers of a carefully curated Spanish upbringing. Her past is a void, Mina a stranger, and their shared history a forgotten tale. When the shocking truths of her origins surface, Paula is thrust into a riveting journey of self-discovery. As she navigates this labyrinth of forgotten memories, she finds an unexpected ally in Prakash, a charming Indian immigrant whose own journey mirrors hers in many ways. "Traces of Sandalwood" paints a vivid and poignant narrative of love, hope, and identity that spans from the bustling streets of Mumbai to the vibrant heart of Barcelona, from the exotic charm of India to the mesmerizing allure of the Mediterranean. It's a journey that explores the power of roots and the pull of destiny, leading Paula and Mina across continents and through time, in a quest to reclaim their shared past and embrace their intertwined futures.
