Torment (2013)

In the wake of his wife's death, Cory Morgan finds love again with Sarah, and together they embark on a family vacation to a secluded house, hoping to foster a bond with Cory's resentful son, Liam, who is still grieving his mother's loss. Their retreat, however, is marred by the discovery of signs of unfamiliar occupants in the house. The local Sheriff assuages their fears, assuring them that the intruders are gone. As the darkness of the night cloaks their isolated sanctuary, the chilling disappearance of Liam thrusts the family into a nightmare. The terrifying sight of the Sheriff, Hawkings, bound to the steering wheel of his car and a sudden, explosive demise, shatters their illusion of safety. It becomes evident that they are not alone, the previous intruders were not merely trespassers, but sadistic predators lurking in the shadows of their home. Their idyllic vacation spirals into a horrific battle for survival against a cult-like family who have claimed Liam as their own.
