In the ruthlessly youthful realm of advertising, seasoned creative director Tom Burns, despite his illustrious career and recent triumphs, is branded a relic at the age of fifty. The very company where he crafted his legacy, CG&O, is swallowed by the aggressive competitor, Rage, commandeered by the image-obsessed, power-hungry Reese Danzinger. Left jobless in the merger and shunned by a business that worships youth, Tom finds himself in a quagmire. His predicament worsens when his violin prodigy daughter, Kelly, moves in with him, carrying the burden of her looming tuition fees he once vowed to cover. Tom, an adman with a protective streak for his daughter, hatches an audacious plan to worm his way back into the industry. He crosses paths with Dick Varnett, a small-time swindler who once tricked Tom out of a few dollars. In Dick, Tom sees a youthful front to his seasoned creativity and proposes a mutually beneficial scheme. Dick, ever the opportunist, agrees to pose as the creative wunderkind at Rage while Tom pulls the strings from behind the scenes. However, the intricacies of their plan unravel when both Tom and Dick find themselves attracted to Harriet Fellows, one of Rage's talented art directors. Harriet, in turn, is smitten by the charismatic Dick, oblivious to the fact that the creative genius she admires is none other than Tom. Further complicating matters is Harriet's reluctance to form relationships, a scar left by a deceptive ex-fiancé. Caught in a whirlwind of deception and blooming affections, Tom and Dick face a crossroads. They must decide between preserving their ruse, their ticket to profit and relevance, or pursuing the tantalizing allure of love. "Tom, Dick and Harriet" is a comedic exploration of ageism, deception, and the delicate dance of love in the workplace.
