Shy teenager Lara Jean Covey lives a normal, boring life. Being raised by a single dad, Laura Jean and her sisters, Margot and Kitty, must make due. The problem? Laura Jean loves Josh, Margot's ex, along with a few other boys. Never having the courage to tell them how she felt, she wrote and addressed love letters to each of them years ago, burying them in a box, seemingly never to be seen again. But soon, trouble arises: the letters were mailed, and soon Lara Jean has to manage the chaotic shift from very fake love to very real love.
