In the chilling aftermath of the Blackwell Hotel massacre, a grim procession of bodies, including the menacing figure of Jacob Goodnight and his nine victims, are shuttled under the cloak of night to the city morgue. The attempt to revive the seemingly lifeless psychopath by the EMTs proves fruitless, and the burden of the graveyard shift falls on the weary shoulders of Seth, Amy, and the handicapped Holden. The eeriness of their task is heightened as they wheel Jacob's corpse into the scale room, a silent testament to the night's terror. Unbeknownst to them, Amy's birthday falls on this very night, compelling her brother Will and their friends Kayla, Carter, and the eccentric Tamara to infiltrate the morgue for an unconventional celebration. Tamara, drawn to the macabre, ventures into the scale room with her boyfriend Carter, the resting place of the one-eyed monster, Jacob. In a shocking twist of fate, the cold slab of the sub-basement revives not just the psychopath's body, but his insatiable thirst for carnage as well. What was meant to be a surprise birthday party rapidly spirals into a horrifying survival game. The morgue's silent corridors echo with the sounds of hooks scraping, surgical knives gleaming, and power saws revving as Jacob Goodnight resumes his savage spree. As the hours of terror unfold, the friends must band together to survive, or become the next victims of the relentless killer.
