Three Weeks, Three Kids (2011)

In the lively whirlwind of life that is Twenty-five-year-old Jennifer Mills' (Anna Chlumsky) existence, commitment is a foreign concept, a far-off land she's yet to explore. Unlike her elder sister Mandy (Chelah Horsdal), who joyfully embraced the responsibilities of matrimony and motherhood at a young age, Jennifer thrives on her unattached, untamed lifestyle. Yet, their mother, Kathryn (Susan Hogan), interprets Jennifer's free-spirit as a deep-seated fear of settling down and orchestrates a cunning plan to catapult her from frolic to family life in a mere three weeks. When Mandy and her spouse set their sights on a three-week Euro-trip, leaving their three offspring behind, Kathryn sees an opportunity and persuades Jennifer to step in as a temporary guardian. Unprepared and overwhelmed, Jennifer soon realizes that the role of a parent is not a child's play, and she must evolve from the fun-loving aunt to a firm, disciplined caregiver to retain her sister's trust. Yet, life has an interesting way of offering assistance, and in Jennifer's case, it arrives in the form of the charming new neighbor, Will (Warren Christie). With his support, Jennifer manages to juggle her newfound duties, demonstrating to everyone, including herself, that accepting responsibility can be an unexpectedly rewarding journey.
