Plot

In the lively world of horse racing, the dynamic and hopeful actress Cricket West wields a voice that can shake the rafters and a plan that could shake up the status quo. Alongside her delightfully eccentric aunt, she plays gracious host to a motley crew of local jockeys, dominated by the charismatic and skilled Timmie Donovan. Donovan's world is thrown into chaos when a refined English gentleman arrives in town with a blisteringly fast horse and a high stakes race proposition. However, when Donovan gets tangled in a web of deceit spun by nefarious gamblers, he finds himself unjustly disqualified from racing. Amid the turmoil, the Englishman's horse seems destined to be a bystander, its potential untapped. But Cricket, with her dreams and determination, refuses to let the story end there. Mounting the Englishman's horse, she takes the reins and charges headfirst into the thrilling climax of the race, riding high and fast towards an unpredictable finish line. "Thoroughbreds Don't Cry" is a galloping tale of ambition, friendship, and the unexpected heroes we encounter on the track of life, painted against the vibrant backdrop of a small town's horse racing scene. With a narrative that shifts from a hopeful trot to a suspense-filled gallop, it promises an adrenaline-fueled ride from start to finish.
