Plot

In the rustic heart of the Deep South, a tale of passion, violence, and moonshine whiskey unfolds. Meet Roscoe Boone, a mesmerizing fusion of Bible-quoting preacher and cunning con artist. Steering his clandestine moonshine distillery with an iron fist and a posse of brutish redneck loyalists, Boone's fiery sermons of free love, open marriage, and liberal libations split the small town down the middle. While half the townsfolk rally behind his unorthodox gospel, the other half simmers in outrage, their resentment reaching a fever pitch when Boone's teachings inadvertently catalyze a horrifying act: the gang-rape of a young bride on her wedding day. This gruesome event stirs the pot of an already tumultuous community, setting off a chain reaction of violent, religiously-inspired murders. From the stoning of the innocent bride to the crucifixion of two young women, the bloodshed is relentless. Yet, the drama doesn't end there. Into this volatile mix, two federal agents arrive from the state capital. Armed with a laundry list of felony charges, they threaten to dismantle Boone's illicit whiskey operation. As the pressure mounts, one of Boone's most devoted followers takes the preacher's biblical teachings to a chilling extreme, embarking on a killing spree that sends shockwaves through the town. Straddling the line between a Foghorn Leghorn-ish caricature and a menacing adversary, Boone and his moonshine empire are the throbbing heart of this dark narrative. "This Stuff'll Kill Ya!" is a feverish exploration of faith, lawlessness, and the intoxicating allure of moonshine in a rural landscape teetering on the brink of chaos.
