At the age of 23, Laura Guerro, along with her friend Suzu, embarks on a glittering journey into the world of beauty, stepping onto the platform of the Miss Baja pageant. Both young women secure their spots in the competition, their dreams intertwining with the glamour that surrounds them. However, their lives are irrevocably altered when a night out at a local nightclub transforms into a horrifying tableau of violence. A ruthless drug cartel, armed to the teeth, executes a chilling massacre of drug enforcement officials, leaving Laura untouched but mysteriously separated from Suzu.
