Plot

In the diverse and pulsating landscapes of Paris, Rome, and New York, "Third Person" weaves a compelling narrative of deception, desire, and despair. In the heart of Paris, acclaimed novelist Michael (Liam Neeson), a Pulitzer Prize laureate, has secluded himself in a hotel suite, wrestling with both a stubborn writer's block and the pangs of a recently dissolved marriage. Entangled in a tumultuous affair with Anna (Olivia Wilde), an aspiring journalist eager to transition into fiction writing, Michael navigates the intricacies of love and commitment. Parallel to this, in the vibrant chaos of New York, we encounter Julia (Mila Kunis), a former soap opera actress turned hotel maid. Struggling with a grueling custody battle for her son against her ex-husband Rick (James Franco), a renowned artist, Julia's life balances on a precarious edge. With the cold reality of financial despair looming, and a crucial meeting with her lawyer Theresa (Maria Bello) that could determine her future, Julia grapples with the harsh realities of her existence while Rick's empathetic girlfriend Sam (Loan Chabanol) observes from the sidelines. Meanwhile, in the timeless city of Rome, Scott (Adrien Brody), a dubious American businessman with a disdain for all things Italian, finds himself embroiled in an unexpected rescue mission. When he meets Monika (Moran Atias), a beautiful Roma woman on the brink of reuniting with her daughter, his life takes an unforeseen turn. A whirlwind of events leaves him questioning his role in an intricate con game as he and Monika traverse the perilous roads of Southern Italy. "Third Person" intertwines these stories against the backdrop of three bustling metropolises, creating a rich tapestry of human connection and conflict. With each character grappling with their own web of deceit and despair, the film explores the complexities of trust, love, and the human condition.
