In the pursuit of an idyllic life, Rebecca and Brian Lassiter, along with their young daughter, trade the concrete jungle of New York City for the sun-kissed expanses of Los Angeles. They discover what appears to be the perfect suburban dwelling, a vision of tranquility and domestic bliss. Unbeknownst to them, the house hides a shadowy secret, bound to the life of Kathleen Strickland, a local personal trainer who lost the house in a fierce bidding war against the Lassiters.
The echoes of Kathleen's past with the house resonate ominously as Rebecca and Brian start to experience a series of inexplicable occurrences. Unrequested food deliveries arrive at their doorstep, unexpected visits from pest control baffle them, and a rock crashing through their window shatters their sense of security. The fabric of their dream life begins to fray at the edges, unraveled by the relentless determination of Kathleen, who is hell-bent on retrieving what she perceives as rightfully hers. As the bizarre incidents escalate, the Lassiters find themselves wrestling with a creeping sense of dread, their family's safety hanging in the balance. It becomes glaringly clear that Kathleen will go to any lengths to reclaim her house, turning the Lassiter's suburban dream into a nerve-wracking nightmare.
