Splice (2009)

Elsa Kast and Clive Nicoli are two young scientists performing genetic experiments that most consider unethical — splicing together the DNA of different animals to produce results that can be used for medical science. The nature of their research forces them to perform their work in secret, and they know the scandal that will occur if their work is discovered. Secretly, they create their own humanoid creature and begin to raise her secretly on a secluded farm. But as their surrogate daughter and experimental specimen begins to grow older, they'll realize that she's developing needs that could put all their lives in jeopardy.
