In the heart of Zambia, Sam Archer, the beleaguered head coach of Merrivale College's consistently underperforming sports teams, stumbles upon a potential solution to his professional woes. As the pressure from the head of the Alumni Association builds, threatening the end of his contract unless he can turn the tide, Archer along with his assistant, Milo Jackson, discovers Nanu, a jungle-raised marvel of an athlete with unmatched speed, strength, and agility. Raised by Gazenga, an African witch doctor after the tragic death of his missionary parents, Nanu embodies the raw, untamed spirit of the jungle. As Nanu grapples with his new life and unearths the truth about his recruitment, Coach Archer, desperate to save his job, throws Nanu into the whirlwind of every event at an upcoming NCAA track and field meet.
