However, Damien, fueled by his unwavering socialist ideals, aligns with a large seceding faction that believes nothing less than a socialist republic will suffice. The brothers find themselves on opposing sides of a new battle, a civil war that pits Irishman against Irishman, comrade against comrade, and heartbreakingly, brother against brother.
