In the heart of Paris, Samir, a middle-aged crane operator, succumbs to the unexpected thunderbolt of love when he encounters Agathe, a sprightly young woman calmly dismissing an unwelcome suitor. Intrigued by her strength and beauty, Samir learns she's a swimming instructor at the celebrated Maurice Thorez swimming pool. Craftily, he pretends to be a novice swimmer, seeking lessons from her, in a bid to get closer. Their connection flourishes, teetering on the precipice of deeper intimacy, when an unforeseen event reveals Samir's true aquatic abilities, not merely a competent swimmer but an expert diver. His carefully woven deception unravels, leaving Agathe, a woman with a deep-seated aversion to dishonesty, feeling betrayed. The task of winning back her trust and affection proves to be a voyage far from smooth sailing.
