Unbroken (2014)

This real life story recounts the harrowing experience of Olympic track star Louis Zamperini. After crashing his plane during World War II and spending a month and a half out at sea, Zamperini is captured by the Japanese military. His time in the ruthless prison camp tests his mental and physical limits and forces him to look back on his rough-and-tumble and sometimes criminal history. The sadistic guards want nothing more to break Zamperini, but he's determined to never break regardless of what torture they put him through. But as Allied forces start to close in, the prisoners are faced with the looming threat of mass execution.
