In the vibrant milieu of the 1950s, 'The Tin Mine' captures the stirring odyssey of Archin Panjabhan (played by Pijaya Vachajitpan), a young university dropout from Bangkok's prestigious Chulalongkorn University. However, fate intervenes in the form of Sam, the hard-nosed Australian superintendent and a survivor of the Death Railway. Testing Archin's will to survive, Sam offers him a role that requires back-breaking manual labor in the unforgiving terrain. Without a second thought, Archin accepts, plunging himself into a life far removed from his comfortable urban existence. Inhabiting a house rumored to be haunted, and constantly belittled as the 'Bangkok boy' unfit for hard labor, Archin must navigate through a world of skepticism and challenge. From the humble Malaysian laborers to the robust chief of mining staff, John, everyone views him as an outsider. Yet, through perseverance and determination, Archin gradually earns their respect and transforms into an indispensable part of the company, serving as a surveyor.
