The Tigress of Shaolin (1979)

In the heart of a bustling town, the youthful Tieh Chiao San, a gift from his dying father to an old kung fu comrade, unwittingly stirs the hornet's nest. He provokes a gang peddling snake-oil and crosses paths with a grizzled inebriate, plunging himself into a whirlpool of trouble. Upon reaching his designated guardian, he discovers a shocking truth - the snake-oil racket is the brainchild of his father's trusted friend. Tempted by the allure of belonging, Tieh aligns himself with the gang, but finds his conscience clashing with their dubious activities. His reluctance prompts a brutal punishment, leaving him beaten and on the brink of death. Yet, fate lends a tender hand in the form of the beautiful Tsai Chiao, who, with her drunken uncle and leprosy-ridden aunt, provides him shelter in a nearby Shaolin temple. Seizing this opportunity, Tieh embarks on a journey of self-discovery and martial prowess, mastering new kung fu styles in the shadow of the ancient temple. And not a moment too soon, as the gang's thirst for vengeance looms ominously, leading them on a relentless hunt for the young man they failed to kill.
