In a tranquil town where excitement is a stranger, life takes a sharp turn when a thief, donning a clown mask, audaciously robs the bank of half a million dollars - funds belonging to an Indian casino. This sparks a thrilling, perilous dance of evasion and pursuit between the enigmatic bank robber, Parker, once a man of law and order (James Spader), and the tenacious small-town cop, Ray DeCarlo (David Keith), hell-bent on apprehending him.
Complicating Parker's precarious situation further, he finds refuge with a nurse, who intriguingly is DeCarlo's ex-wife. The plot thickens with the introduction of a greenhorn FBI agent, aggrieved Indians demanding their stolen money, and old acquaintances of Parker whose loyalties have dangerously shifted. Parker's destiny hangs in the balance, his choices as unpredictable as the game he's entangled in.
