Plot

In the swirling intrigues of a noble court, a striking servant named Bang-ja finds himself entangled in a web of desire and deceit. He serves the formidable Mong-lyong, a man of power and privilege, who, like Bang-ja, is captivated by the enchanting geisha, Chun-hyang. As the melody of her voice echoes through the geisha house, Chun-hyang is the luminous star both men yearn for. Upon discovering his master's intent to possess Chun-hyang, Bang-ja turns to Ma, a seasoned sage of love, to unravel the mysteries of seduction. Armed with the ancient wisdom of Mencius and Confucian Analects, Bang-ja embarks on a quest to win Chun-hyang's heart, sweeping her off her feet and away from the clutches of Mong-lyong. But the captivating geisha is not just a player in this game of longing and lust. Chun-hyang, in her beguiling beauty and cunning, has a clandestine plan of her own - to ascend the social ladder, breaking free from the shackles of her current status. As the plot thickens, Bang-ja finds himself not in control but merely a pawn in Chun-hyang's ambitious game. The Servant (2010) is a tale of desire, deceit, and social ambition, where nothing is as it seems.
