Plot

In the golden era of the 1970s and '80s, Jacques Laurent crafted a unique niche for himself in the world of adult cinema. His revolutionary artistic ideals, deeply rooted in the counter-culture of the '60s, brought an unprecedented elevation to the genre. Now, two decades later, Jacques finds himself older, heavier, and once more immersed in the world he left behind. As he resumes his directorial role in the realm of erotic filmmaking, Jacques finds his artistic vision at odds with the harsh commercial demands of his financially-struggling producer. The tension between Jacques' creative integrity and the hard-core expectations of the industry underline his struggle in this new era. Simultaneously, Jacques navigates the turbulent waters of his personal life. He reconnects with his estranged son, Joseph, who had distanced himself upon discovering the true nature of the family business. Inspired by the idealism of 1968, Joseph and his friends plan a protest, echoing Jacques' own past revolution. Separated from his wife, and facing the challenges of his professional comeback, Jacques yearns for a fresh start. In an attempt to reinvent his life, he embarks on a personal quest to build a new house single-handedly. This journey of renewal intertwines with Jacques' past and present, painting a vivid portrait of a man caught between the artistic legacy of his youth and the realities of his twilight years.
