Plot

In the pulsating heart of São Paulo, Val, a devoted housekeeper, has spent over a decade serving the affluent Carlos and Bárbara in their stylish Morumbi mansion, dutifully attending to their son Fabinho since his tender years. Despite her financial stability and the comfortable existence she's carved, a pang of guilt constantly haunts her. She left her own daughter, Jéssica, back in Pernambuco, entrusted to the care of relatives, while she financed her upbringing from afar. As the season of college entrance exams arrives, Jéssica yearns to join the competitive academic race in São Paulo. After receiving her daughter's call, Val steps into the delicate task of seeking her employers' permission to accommodate Jéssica in her quarters. The family, cloaked in their genteel veneer, initially welcomes the girl into their home. However, the household quickly finds itself in the throes of an unexpected storm. Jéssica's arrival shatters the submissive stereotype of maids, becoming a disruptive force that challenges the strict class boundaries within the mansion. Her frankness and audacious personality ripple through the house, causing disturbances that unsettle everyone. Caught in the eye of the storm, Val must navigate the tumultuous waves of change, her role shifting from a mere housekeeper to the fulcrum of a brewing social revolution. This heartfelt tale of a mother and daughter explores themes of class, guilt, and the price of service, set against the vibrant backdrop of São Paulo.
