The Santa Con (2014)

Nick DeMarco, a cunning con artist, employs his wily charms to secure an early release from prison. Welcomed reluctantly by his discerning sister Rose, Nick finds himself donning the red coat of a mall Santa, a condition of his parole. In the whirl of the holidays, he's swept into a promise he makes to a hopeful young boy, Billy Guthrie: a Christmas reunion for his estranged parents. Nick, caught off-guard by the depth of his pledge, seeks guidance from Ruth, a wise neighborhood pastor. Ruth convinces him that fulfilling Billy's wish could be his chance at redemption.
