The Red Turtle (2016)

A man becomes shipwrecked and has to battle towering waves to reach the safety of a beautiful tropical island where he is stranded. He is determined to get back to civilization. He constructs a raft to set sail but is turned back to the island by unseen forces. He doesn’t give up and continues to build stronger rafts each day, always having to return to the island. During his attempts, he meets strange deep-sea creatures including a red turtle that thwarts his every escape attempt. Why isn’t he allowed to leave the island? When he discovers the answer it changes his life.
