Plot

Fourteen years after his role in the near cataclysmic Third Impact, Shinji Ikari awakens, untouched by time, into a world that has been irrevocably altered. The once-familiar landscapes are now desolate ruins, a haunting testament to the disaster he unwittingly brought about. The people he once sought to protect now regard him with suspicion and hostility, holding him captive and threatening his life should he dare pilot another Eva. In the heart of this dystopian world lies the NERV headquarters, now a breeding ground for deceit and treachery. Here, Shinji finds an unexpected companion in the enigmatic pianist, Kaworu. As their bond strengthens, the true and insidious mission of the organization begins to unfurl, leading Shinji down a labyrinthine path of deception. Simultaneously, Misato, a figure from Shinji's past, has forged a separate faction distinct from NERV. The battle against the Evas is far from concluded, but humanity's greatest struggle may now be against their own kind, in a war of mistrust and betrayal. Caught in this vortex of lies, Shinji teeters on the brink of mental collapse, a precipice that could spell the end of humanity. Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo is an exploration of the human spirit's tenacity in a world that has lost its innocence, where the line between ally and enemy blurs, and survival is as much a mental battle as it is physical.
