In the heart of Los Angeles, a young telephone operator navigates her way through a monotonous existence, her life echoing with a hollow, amoral emptiness. By night, she and her boyfriend transform into swingers, prowling the city's bars and drawing other couples into their web of hedonistic pursuits, their evenings filled with shadows and strangers.
