In the heart of Italy, a high school student, Andrea, becomes bewitched by the enigmatic Giulia, a woman of older allure he frequently observes from his classroom window. Giulia, engaged to a radical leftist currently imprisoned and on trial for political transgressions, finds herself drawn into Andrea's orbit. A clandestine romance blossoms in the sanctuary of her apartment, their passion ignited by the thrill of forbidden love. However, their secret rendezvous doesn't remain hidden for long. The incarcerated fiance's vigilant mother stumbles upon their liaison, triggering a complex chain of events as she confronts Andrea's father, a reputable psychiatrist known for his expertise in psychoanalysis. He is no stranger to Giulia's captivating charm, having provided her therapeutic treatment in the past. Caught in the crossfire of Giulia's seductive advances, the psychiatrist begins to question the sanity of the woman he once treated. He finds himself entangled in a web of suspicion, grappling with the possibility of Giulia's infidelity with not just his son, but himself as well. As the passionate affair between Giulia and Andrea escalates, the viewer is left teetering on the edge of doubt, trying to discern the depths of Giulia's sanity and the extent of her seductions.
