The Prisoner of Zenda, Inc. (1996)

In the world of high-stakes corporations and technological masterminds, 14-year-old prodigy Rudy Gatewick is abruptly thrust into the spotlight, inheriting the leadership of the cutting-edge conglomerate, Zenda Inc., following his father's sudden death. This unexpected succession sends ripples through the corporate hierarchy, particularly unsettling Rudy's cunning Uncle Michael, who had been eyeing the throne himself. Unwilling to accept the new order, Michael plots his ascension, hiring a trio of bumbling thugs to kidnap Rudy, thereby altering the course of the upcoming critical shareholders' meeting. Simultaneously, Zenda's top executives, Professor Wooley and Colonel Zapf, are thrust into the roles of reluctant guardians, hiding their young charge's abduction from the world to ensure his safety. Amidst this chaos, they stumble upon an astonishing revelation during a Zenda-sponsored baseball playoff. Oliver Gillis, a young player, bears an uncanny resemblance to the missing Rudy. Desperate to maintain the status quo and buy time, they convince Oliver to step into Rudy's shoes, luring him with the promise of securing his unemployed father a job. Meanwhile, the real Rudy embarks on an unexpected adventure in the wilderness, led astray by his inept and directionally challenged kidnappers. Oliver, on the other hand, grapples with the daunting task of impersonating Rudy, both at school and the corporation. His classmates, oblivious to the switch, are pleasantly surprised as the previously introverted "Rudy" begins standing up to his bullying cousin, Douglas, winning the admiration of Douglas' girlfriend, Fiona. However, the corporate world proves to be a far more challenging battlefield for Oliver, who lacks Rudy's technological prowess. As the clock ticks down to the shareholders' meeting and the championship baseball game, the pressure mounts. With Rudy still missing and Oliver struggling to juggle his double life, the question looms - can he manage to be in two places at once without the truth being exposed?
