In this cinematic retelling of a true story, American Marine Jason Johnson (Goselaar) is dispatched to the exotic Emirate of Bahrain. Amidst the unfamiliar milieu, he encounters a radiant, spirited woman, Meriam (Nichols), oblivious to her identity as a part of the Bahraini Royal lineage. A forbidden love blossoms between them, challenging the cultural norms of her Muslim heritage and his Mormon faith.
Caught in the crossfire of tradition and passion, Meriam resists the shackles of an arranged marriage, fully aware of the consequences of her dangerous liaison with Jason. Their love story becomes a pulse-pounding race against time as they strive to flee Bahrain and reach the United States, a haven where their love can be legitimised through matrimony.
However, if Meriam is forced to return, her life hangs in the balance, a pawn in a game of traditions and honor. This film offers an immersive exploration of the extreme lengths two people will go to protect their love, even when it defies the dictates of society and religion.
