The Predators (2020)

As dawn breaks over the tranquil seas of Ostia, a man's knock echoes at the door of a woman's dwelling, his mission simple - to sell her a watch. Days later, under the same morning sky, a young philosophy assistant professor confronts his exclusion from the coveted task of Nietzsche's body exhumation. Two seemingly unrelated slights borne by two starkly different families: the cultured, bourgeois Pavones and the working-class, Fascist Vismaras. Both factions are bound by the unyielding urban jungle of Rome, their lives parallel lines that never meet. However, a trivial incident soon triggers a collision course between these polar opposites. Propelled by the reckless impulse of a twenty-five-year-old man, a chain of events unfolds that illuminates the hidden truths lurking amidst the shadows of their lives. As the curtain lifts, it becomes eerily clear that beneath the veneer of their starkly different lives, everyone harbours a secret, no one is as they appear, and in the grand theatre of life, we are all predators.
