The Pension (2018)

In the heart of a serene yet haunting pension, four intertwining tales unfold. Choo-Ho (Jo Han-Chull), a man driven by the desperate need to please his wife Mi-Kyung (Park Hyo-Joo), is pushed to an unimaginable brink when asked to take the life of the man responsible for their daughter's demise. Simultaneously, a desolate couple (Park Hyuk-Kwon and Rie Young-Zin) checking into the pension, carry faint hopes of reigniting their languishing love. However, an unfortunate altercation pushes the wife into the unfamiliar woods, where she stumbles upon a mysterious stranger (Kim Tae-Hoon) living right next door. Elsewhere in the pension, post-divorce Jae-Duk (Jo Jae-Yun) seeks solace and solitude, running the pension single-handedly. His tranquil existence is disrupted when the enigmatic Ja-Young (Shin So-Yul) checks in, insisting on a particular room. Jae-Duk, harboring concerns for her peculiar behavior, decides to pay her a visit, only to find himself entangled in an uncanny mystery. Meanwhile, In-Ho (Lee Yi-Kyung), the interim pension manager, dreams of a romantic escapade with his girlfriend. But a misunderstood gesture sends her away, leaving him alone in the pension – until an intriguing couple appears. The woman (Hwang Sun-Hee), a seemingly deadly seductress, brings with her a new wave of suspense. "The Pension" invites you into a captivating maze of human emotions, mysteries, and unexpected turns, all nestled within the confines of an isolated retreat.
