The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018)

Six short stories tell a variety of tales about life in the Wild West. A slapstick opening tells the story of a sociopath gunfighter who gets his just desserts and is followed by the story of a cowboy who can't seem to elude death. The tale of a limbless actor and his potentially exploitative father figure and a mostly silent tale about a prospector fill out the middle of the collection. The anthology finishes off with a longer story about a brother and sister migrating west and one about a group of disparate souls riding a carriage together towards an ominous and unknown destination.
