In the heart of Paris, Elmer Tuttle, a humble plumber with inventive aspirations, is unexpectedly drafted by the enchanting Patricia Alden to kindle the flames of jealousy in her wayward lover, Tony Lagorce. However, Tony himself is entangled in a clandestine affair with the alluring Nina Estrados. Ever the opportunist, Elmer, along with his loyal companion Julius, finds this a golden opportunity to introduce high society to his revolutionary creation - a pistol equipped with a range-finding light.
