Plot

In the heart of urban chaos, Irakli, an ambitious bartender with a passion for architecture, dreams of reimagining the cityscape. His life takes a dramatic turn when he's diagnosed with a rare eye disease that threatens to plunge him into darkness. As he grapples with the impending blindness, his wife Nutsa, battles her own demons, torn between the haunting fear of their decaying marriage and the dread of her husband's deteriorating condition. Amongst the turmoil, Irakli's friend Giorgi remains curiously unfazed, his surface-level sympathy barely scratching the depth of the predicament. But as Irakli's reality starts to dim, an unexpected encounter in a woodland haven draws him to a nameless, enigmatic blonde. This meeting sparks a series of flashbacks, dreams, and visions, spiralling Irakli into a surreal world where he sees beyond the physical, into the very soul of people, their raw intentions and hidden motives. As the veil of reality thins, his sightless world becomes increasingly consumed by this alternate reality. Tormented by the relentless visions, yet bewitched by the captivating stranger, Irakli must confront the truth about his own identity. The Other Me (2022) is an exploration of perception and reality, a poignant tale of a man caught between the ordinary world and a realm only he can traverse, questioning the very nature of what we choose to see.
