In the charmingly deceptive world of Sunflower Dairy, lives Burleigh Sullivan, a spectacle-clad, delicate man with a soul softer than his name suggests. He navigates life as a delivery man, overlooked by his peers and the object of annoyance to Sunflower's president, Wilbur Austin. But life takes a turbulent turn in the unlikeliest of situations when he finds himself entangled in a street brawl while defending his sister, Mae, a humble hat check girl. With the dust of confusion settling, the world wakes up to a startling revelation - one of the brawlers knocked unconscious is none other than the middleweight champion of the world, Speed McFarland, his disoriented bodyguard, Spider Schultz, nursing a shiner.
