In the opulent world of Beverly Hills, Hillary Kramer, a prosperous perfumer, is on the brink of launching the first-ever unisex fragrance, confident that it will amplify her already substantial wealth. However, an unexpected catastrophe strikes when she uncovers her business manager's betrayal, who has cunningly fled with all her fortune. Stripped of her riches, Hillary is left with nothing but a boxer named Eddie Scanlon - Kid Natural - whom she had sponsored as a tax shelter. In an ironic twist of fate, her remaining asset, Kid Natural, is more content with his fledgling driving school business, funded by the sponsorship, than returning to the boxing ring. His charming features, a lucrative tool for attracting female clients to his school, are too precious for him to risk in a fight. Hillary, knowing nothing about the brutal world of boxing, finds herself in an unfamiliar landscape, desperate for Eddie to fight again and restore some of her lost wealth. The plot thickens as Hillary considers the potential profits of Eddie's long-awaited match with Hector Mantilla, a bout that was cancelled four years ago due to a pre-ring altercation at the Pan Am Games. Hector has since carved a successful career in professional boxing, while Eddie still harbors the belief that he could have triumphed that day. Caught between Eddie's reluctance to risk his looks and Hillary's desperate need for financial salvation, the duo must navigate their contrasting worlds.
