Plot

In the simmering heart of Miami, Malcolm Anderson, a seasoned reporter for The Miami Journal, finds himself drawn into a chilling dance of death. Weary of chronicling the city's ceaseless murders, he yearns for escape, promising his school teacher girlfriend, Christine, a new life away from the blood-soaked headlines. However, fate has a twisted path in store for him. When a teenager's life is brutally snuffed out on the city's sun-kissed beach, Malcolm is dispatched to cover the harrowing story. As he delves into the dark underbelly of the crime, the murderer, a shadowy figure lurking in the city's depths, initiates an eerie game of cat and mouse. A chilling phone call promises a cascade of four more victims, pulling Malcolm deeper into the terrifying narrative. Before he can sever his ties with the paper, Malcolm becomes ensnared by the killer's macabre fascination with him. The phone calls persist, each echoing the promise of another life claimed. The line between the reporter and the story blur as Malcolm finds himself no longer merely chronicling the carnage, but becoming its headline. As the city trembles under the looming threat, one question remains: Can Malcolm unravel the truth before he becomes the final chapter of this blood-stained saga?
