Plot

"The Little Tin Man" is a brilliantly witty and insightful journey into the life of Herman (Aaron Beelner), a dwarf actor wrestling with the constraints of societal norms and unfulfilled dreams. Herman is far from content with his mundane existence working at his half-brother's eatery and the uninspiring trajectory of his acting career, which constantly boxes him into typecast roles. The winds of change start to blow when news of an audition for the Mayor of Munchkinland role in Martin Scorsese's high-budget remake of The Wizard of Oz reaches Herman. Encouraged by his best friend (Kay Cannon, Writer of Pitch Perfect, 30 Rock), he decides to leap beyond his perceived limitations and reach for the stars, literally and figuratively. This decision catalyzes an adventure of personal growth and self-realization, peppered with hearty laughter and poignant insights, as Herman and his band of unconventional comrades navigate the winding roads of life and ambition. Under the skillful direction of Matthew Perkins, making his debut, "The Little Tin Man" blossoms into a refreshingly witty indie comedy, seamlessly weaving heartfelt emotion and humor to highlight the human spirit's unyielding pursuit of passion.
