The Last Legion (2007)

In the tumultuous year of 460 A.D., amidst the wreckage of turmoil-ridden Rome that has witnessed the brutal end of five emperors, a young warrior named Mira is thrust into the heart of the conflict. Born into a warrior family in the lush landscapes of Kerala, India, Mira's prowess in martial arts and self-defense catches the keen eye of Spanish royalty, leading to her relocation to the political epicenter of Constantinople. Here, Mira finds herself entwined in a perilous mission alongside the stalwart Roman Commander Aurelius. Their task? To orchestrate the daring escape of the boy-emperor, Romulus Augustus Caesar, from the cold walls of a Capri prison. This urgent mission comes in the wake of Romulus' parents' untimely deaths at the hands of Odoacer, the bloodthirsty leader of the invading Goths. With the wise Priest Ambrosinius and a band of loyal soldiers, Mira and Aurelius successfully free Romulus, delivering him to the supposed safety of Roman Senator Nestor. However, the web of treachery stretches further than they anticipate. Nestor's betrayal forces them to flee to the mist-covered shores of Britannia, where they must rally the last remaining Roman legion. In Britannia, they encounter the seemingly invincible Vortygn, a formidable foe hell-bent on obtaining a mythical sword of unprecedented power and ensuring the death of young Romulus. Mira, Aurelius, and their faithful companions must not only protect the boy-emperor but also prevent Vortygn from wielding the sword's devastating power. As they grapple with these challenges, they uncover surprises that could change the course of their destiny and the fate of the Roman Empire.
