Plot

In the dark underbelly of society, Joe Krozac stands as a towering figure, a mob kingpin whose ego is as grand as his criminal empire. His ruthless reign over his territory is unchallenged, even when faced with rivals like the Kile Brothers - a dispute resolved with cold-blooded murder. Returning triumphant from a European sojourn, he embraces the news of his new wife Talya's pregnancy, envisioning their unborn child inheriting his illicit kingdom. However, in a twist of fate akin to Al Capone's downfall, Joe forgets to pay his dues to society, landing him a ten-year sentence in the notorious Alcatraz. As an infamous mobster, he quickly finds himself surrounded by a sea of enemies, and the harsh reality of prison life begins to wear him down. His world further crumbles when Talya, reluctant to expose their son to the grim reality of his father's life, pulls away from him. His rage boils over, threatening Talya and triggering the collapse of their marriage. In the aftermath, Talya finds solace in the arms of reporter Paul North, who had been previously dismissed by his newspaper for painting sympathetic portraits of her and her son. Their fear of Joe's eventual release matches the anticipation of the surviving Kile brother, setting the stage for a gripping narrative when Joe, hungry for revenge and desperate to reclaim his family, is finally freed. The ominous specter of his return looms large, and the fear of what will come when the last gangster walks free promises a thrilling tale of retribution, fear, and the desperate struggle for redemption.
