Plot

In the heart of Africa, an unsuspecting group of bus passengers find themselves veering off the beaten path, their fate dictated by a flawed compass in the hands of their misguided driver. Stranded in the desolate expanse of the desert, they stumble upon a deserted village, its only resident, a solitary man named Kanana. Among the marooned passengers, a desert-savvy individual emerges, offering five survival tips to his fellow castaways while he embarks on a perilous journey through the desert in search of rescue. In the face of dwindling hope and mounting tension, an intellectual among the group proposes an unconventional morale booster - a performance of King Lear. As the days wear on, the group's spirit ebbs and flows with the harsh desert tide. Amidst the encroaching despair, their commitment to the Bard's play becomes a beacon of resilience, a testament to their survival instinct. The King Is Alive paints a vivid picture of human endurance, as a cluster of strangers find unity - and salvation - in the power of Shakespeare's timeless tragedy.
