The Invisible Man (1933)

In the dead of winter, a peculiar stranger shrouded in bandages and mystery demands a room at an off-season pub. The innkeepers, unfamiliar with winter guests, reluctantly concede. The man's short-lived wealth and explosive temper soon become a cause for worry. His peculiarities escalate as he transforms his room into a chaotic chemistry lab, littered with test tubes and volatile concoctions. As the innkeepers attempt to evict this troublesome tenant, they are met with a horrifying revelation. Unbeknownst to them, Flora Cranley, tormented by the baffling disappearance of her beloved Dr. Griffin, pleads with her father to find him. Dr. Griffin, not only her sweetheart but also her father's assistant, has vanished without a trace. Her desperation is met with indifference by Dr. Kemp, her father's other assistant, who harbors a selfish desire for Flora's affections. In the midst of this turmoil, a flurry of news reports and radio broadcasts circulate tales of an unseen phantom, wreaking havoc with a deadly touch. Little does Flora suspect that the chilling tales of this invisible menace echo the tragic fate of her lost love, Dr. Griffin. In his quest for the extraordinary, he has unearthed the power of invisibility, but the discovery has driven him to the brink of madness.
