Plot

In the world of architecture, Phillip Braun finds himself ensnared in a dangerous web of deceit and betrayal, orchestrated by his unscrupulous former employer, Lasky. Lasky's masterstroke of embezzlement leads to the construction of a fatally flawed building, the collapse of which claims an innocent life. With the blame skillfully shifted onto Phillip, he is unjustly incarcerated, his pleas of innocence falling on deaf ears for five agonizing years. Upon his release, Phillip is greeted by the comforting embrace of his beautiful wife, Lisa, and the innocent delight of his son, Timmie. However, the shadow of Lasky looms ominously over his newfound freedom, as the cunning man attempts to sow seeds of discord between Phillip and his wife, exploiting her close bond with their lawyer, David Reinalt. With Phillip's suspicion of their friendship escalating, Lisa confesses a past transgression - a fleeting two-week affair with David during Phillip's imprisonment. This revelation fans the flames of Phillip's jealousy, further fueled by Lisa's frequent visits to David. In a startling twist of fate, Phillip is drawn into a deadly confrontation with David. A life is claimed, secrets are concealed, and the specter of Lasky continues to haunt Phillip. Now a prime suspect in the eyes of Police Commissioner Österreicher, Phillip is trapped in a vortex of guilt and suspicion. However, Lasky's web of deceit extends further than Phillip could have ever imagined. Armed with an incriminating audio tape from a bugged apartment, Lasky blackmails Phillip, leaving him in a desperate situation. The question remains: what will Phillip do next?
