Plot

In the tranquil waters of Cornwall, a monstrous prehistoric creature is roused from its eons-long slumber by the malignant touch of atomic waste. This beast, a grotesque testament to a time long past, is not only capable of emitting lethal electric shocks but also projects deadly radioactive beams. American biologist Steve Karnes and Professor James Bickford of the Atomic Energy Commission are drawn to Cornwall, driven by chilling reports of a sea monster and a mysterious surge in dead fish washing ashore. Their arrival is heralded by a grim discovery - fisherman Tom Trevethan’s lifeless body on the beach, marked by severe burns, a foreboding testament to the creature's destructive capability. The local fishing industry, once thriving, now languishes in the shadow of this unseen terror. The dread deepens as large ships are found abandoned, their crews similarly afflicted with scorching burns. As the monstrous entity embarks on a terrifying rampage along the English coast, the duo's initial suspicion of atomic waste pollution evolves into the horrifying realization that this prehistoric beast has been awakened and empowered by it. Amid the escalating chaos, a chilling dilemma emerges – to destroy the creature with conventional weaponry would unleash a radioactive fallout over the entire country. As the behemoth approaches London, its path marred by destruction, time is running out to concoct a plan that doesn't risk turning the entire nation into a nuclear wasteland.
