In the heart-stopping world of professional hockey, Tom Ferguson, the celebrated left wing of the Indians team, meets a tragic end during a game, the result of a so-called "accident" involving his own teammates, Dick Adams and Bill Drake. Unconvinced by the accident theory, Tom's brother Alec Ferguson journeys to New York, determined to uncover the sinister truth lurking beneath the ice.
Assuming the identity of Steve Moreau, a fellow townsman unable to join the Indians due to injury, Alec infiltrates the team. He quickly uncovers a chilling revelation: the team has been purposely losing games under the command of a ruthless gambling ring.
