The Frightening (2002)

Stricken by an unseen trauma, eighteen-year-old Corey Peterson and his mother seek solace in a quiet town, a seemingly perfect backdrop to start anew. His first day in the hallowed halls of Hallows End High School, however, quickly dispels any illusion of tranquility. Corey finds himself drawn into mysterious whispers of a recent death and ominous warnings from Mason, another newcomer to the town with secrets of his own.
