Plot

In the chilling expanse of a life shattered, Eun-A (Kim Sun-A) finds herself drowning in despair, her family cruelly taken from her by a ruthless serial killer. Devastated, both physically and mentally, she hovers on the brink of a world devoid of warmth and love. However, instead of succumbing to the abyss, she resolves to seek justice on her own terms, to strike back and make the perpetrator pay. Her thirst for revenge kindles a daring plan, one that requires the alliance of four individuals, each marooned on the fringes of society. This unlikely quartet is comprised of a North Korean defector, an ex-gang member, a person drowning in an ocean of debt, and Eun-A herself; their shared desperation binds them together. Each of them is in dire need of organ transplants, a predicament that adds a ticking clock to their mission. As Eun-A sets the wheels of retribution in motion, the quintet embarks on a journey that is as much about survival as it is about vengeance. The Five (2013) is a gripping tale of revenge that explores the shadows of human despair, the resilience of the human spirit, and the lengths some are willing to go to reclaim what was unjustly taken from them.
